At times, RYDR drivers may encounter a situation where a passenger unintentionally enters their vehicle, believing it to be their ride. The passenger may even assert that they are the one who requested the ride.
To prevent this type of situation, we recommend the following steps:
- Instead of directly asking, “Are you [passenger’s name]?” inquire by asking, “What’s your name?” and ensure that their response matches the name displayed in your app.
- Check if the passenger’s RYDR app displays your photo, or you can kindly request them to verify it. Passengers often appreciate the added precaution, and you can explain that you are verifying to make sure you have the correct rider.
If you find out that you have picked up the wrong passenger, we recommend taking these steps:
- Kindly ask the passenger to exit the vehicle and request their own ride if needed. In certain countries, you may even be eligible for rewards when referring new passengers.
In case you’ve already picked up the wrong passenger or need adjustments to the ride, please follow these steps:
- Tap ‘Contact Support’ for assistance.
- Include the requesting passenger’s name and the date and time of the ride in your support request. This information will help us address the situation appropriately. Your safety and the accuracy of the ride are of utmost importance to us, and we are here to support you in such scenarios.
