Safety & Trust Policy

Your safety is at the heart of everything we do at RYDR Global. Whether you’re booking a ride, receiving a delivery, or joining our driver network, we are committed to ensuring that every journey, interaction, and transaction is handled with integrity, accountability, and care.

This Safety & Trust Policy outlines the standards and systems that protect our Riders, Drivers, Couriers, and Vendors across all RYDR services — including RYDR Start, RYDR Crew, RYDR Pink, RYDR Courier, and RYDR GO.

 

1. Our Commitment to Safety

RYDR operates as a trusted mobility and logistics platform built on respect, transparency, and responsibility.
We are committed to:

  • Creating a secure environment for riders, drivers, and merchants.

  • Using technology to enhance safety before, during, and after each trip or delivery.

  • Enforcing strict background checks and verification procedures.

  • Maintaining continuous monitoring and accountability across all RYDR partners.

 

2. Driver & Courier Verification

Before activation, every Driver or Courier must:

  • Provide valid government-issued identification.

  • Hold the appropriate driver’s licence or permit for their transport mode (car, motorcycle, bicycle, or foot).

  • Submit proof of insurance, vehicle registration, and, where applicable, commercial permits.

  • Pass an onboarding verification process that includes safety, conduct, and operational standards.

  • Maintain good standing through regular documentation reviews.

Drivers who fail to meet these requirements or whose documentation expires are immediately suspended until compliance is restored.

 

3. In-App Safety Features

The RYDR app includes built-in safety and tracking systems designed to protect users at every step:

  • Live GPS tracking for all rides and deliveries.

  • Emergency assistance button connecting users to local authorities or emergency contacts.

  • Driver and vehicle information visible before and during the ride.

  • Trip-sharing feature to share ride progress with trusted contacts.

  • Support chat and reporting tools available 24/7 for any safety or service concerns.

 

4. RYDR Pink — Women-Driving-Women Initiative

RYDR Pink provides a dedicated space where women can request rides driven by verified female drivers.
Our goal is to offer greater comfort and peace of mind for women riders while empowering women drivers across the region.

All RYDR Pink drivers:

  • Undergo additional verification and orientation.

  • Have the right to accept only female passengers.

  • Operate under strict zero-tolerance policies for harassment, abuse, or misconduct.

 

5. Zero-Tolerance Policy

RYDR enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Physical or verbal harassment;

  • Sexual misconduct or unwanted behavior;

  • Discrimination or hate speech;

  • Impairment by drugs or alcohol while using the platform;

  • Violence, theft, or property damage.

Any report of these behaviors triggers immediate investigation and potential permanent account removal.

 

6. Customer & Partner Conduct

Everyone using RYDR — Riders, Drivers, Couriers, and Vendors — must:

  • Treat others with respect and courtesy;

  • Follow all local laws and road-safety regulations;

  • Refrain from harassment or disruptive behavior;

  • Maintain personal hygiene and clean vehicles or delivery gear;

  • Cooperate with investigations into safety or conduct incidents.

 

7. Reporting & Response

If you ever feel unsafe or experience an incident:

  • Use the Emergency button or call local authorities immediately.

  • Report the issue via the in-app support system or email safety@rydrglobal.com.

  • RYDR’s Safety Team reviews all reports within 24 hours and takes appropriate action, which may include investigation, account suspension, or contacting law enforcement.

 

8. Insurance & Liability

All RYDR Drivers and Couriers are required to maintain active insurance appropriate for their vehicle type and service category.
RYDR is not an insurer and does not provide vehicle or health insurance.
However, in select markets, RYDR may partner with insurers to offer optional coverage or protection plans for Drivers and Couriers.

 

9. Continuous Improvement

Safety is an evolving commitment. RYDR continuously:

  • Monitors trip data and user feedback for risk prevention;

  • Updates safety features and standards based on local laws and global best practices;

  • Collaborates with local authorities, transport regulators, and communities to improve rider and driver protection.
