These Terms & Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of MeSIM (formerly “RYDR Connect”), the global eSIM and mobile data service available at mesim.shop and through the RYDR mobile application (collectively, the “Service”). MeSIM is owned and operated by RYDR Global, a company incorporated under the laws of Barbados (“RYDR”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By purchasing, installing, activating, or otherwise using a MeSIM eSIM or data plan, you (“you” or the “Customer”) agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
MeSIM provides prepaid mobile data via embedded SIM (“eSIM”) profiles delivered electronically (typically by QR code or in-app activation) for use in 130+ countries. RYDR resells connectivity supplied by underlying mobile network operators (“MNOs”) and aggregators. MeSIM is a data-only service unless otherwise specified for a particular plan.
2. Eligibility & Device Compatibility
You must (a) be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), (b) own or have authority over an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked device, and (c) provide accurate registration and payment information. You are solely responsible for verifying that your device supports eSIM and the destination network bands before purchase.
3. Activation, Installation & Validity
Each eSIM profile may only be installed once. Removing or deleting the profile from your device will permanently invalidate it; a replacement is not guaranteed. The validity period of a plan begins either upon (i) first connection to a supported network in the destination region or (ii) a fixed activation date, as specified at purchase. Unused data does not roll over and expires at the end of the validity period.
4. Fair Use, Hotspot & Prohibited Conduct
Plans are intended for normal personal travel use. You agree not to use the Service for: (a) commercial resale; (b) unattended machine-to-machine, server, or bot traffic; (c) sustained peer-to-peer file sharing; (d) sending spam or malware; (e) any unlawful activity, fraud, or abuse of the underlying MNO networks. RYDR or the MNO may throttle, suspend, or terminate service that breaches fair use, with or without notice.
5. Pricing, Payment & Top-ups
Prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated and are exclusive of any taxes, levies, or roaming surcharges that may apply at the network level. Payment is processed by our payment provider (PowerTranz / Visa / Mastercard / Discover). Top-ups apply to an existing eSIM and extend the data balance and/or validity in accordance with the plan purchased.
6. Refunds
Because eSIM profiles are digital goods that are consumed instantly upon installation, all sales are final once a plan has been installed or activated. Refund requests for plans that have not been installed must be submitted within 30 days of purchase to support@mesim.shop. Refunds for partially used plans may be granted at RYDR’s sole discretion where a verifiable network failure attributable to the underlying MNO has prevented use of the Service.
7. Coverage & Quality of Service
Coverage, network speeds (including 4G LTE / 5G availability), and latency depend entirely on the underlying MNO and on conditions outside our control such as device capability, location, weather, and local network congestion. Coverage information on our site is indicative and not guaranteed. RYDR does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service.
8. Privacy & Data Processing
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. To deliver connectivity, certain identifiers (e.g. ICCID, IMSI, IMEI, network usage records) are necessarily shared with the relevant MNO and aggregator partners.
9. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, software, and content forming part of MeSIM (including the “MeSIM” name and the mesim.shop brand) are owned by or licensed to RYDR Global. No rights are granted to you other than the limited, non-transferable right to use the Service for personal travel connectivity.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RYDR’s total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific plan giving rise to the claim. RYDR is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of business, missed connections, lost bookings, or roaming charges incurred on a different SIM.
11. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if you breach this Agreement, if required by an MNO or by law, or if we reasonably suspect fraudulent or abusive activity.
12. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update this Agreement, plan inventory, pricing, or supported destinations at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, communicated by email or in-app.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Barbados, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Barbados have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, save that RYDR may bring proceedings to enforce its rights in any jurisdiction.
14. Rebranding Notice
The Service was previously offered under the name “RYDR Connect”. All references to RYDR Connect in prior communications, receipts, or documentation should be read as references to MeSIM. Existing eSIM profiles, balances, and validity periods are unaffected by the rebrand.
